I've noticed memtester report lots of memory errors. However, all errors reported were only wrong on the the leftmost byte of the 64bit values it was testing.
Lowering my RAM speed (DDR2) from 666mhz to 400mhz did not seem to help, but lowering my CPU speed from the stock 2ghz to an underclocked 1.6ghz does seem to stop the error.
Is this likely just to be faulty RAM, or could it perhaps be due to faulty CPU? I know this isn't probably a black and white question, just some opinions would be helpful.
