I am trying to setup a 3 monitor display in Windows 7. I have a Sapphire Raedon HD6950 2GB Dirt3 edition card. For the 3 monitors I have 2xE207WFP and 1x3007WFPHC.

The 3007 is using the dual DVI, then one of the E207WFP is using the single DVI and the other is using the display port via a DVI to display port adapter.

When using the Catalyst control center, I can't figure out a way to get it to display on all 3 monitors. All 3 are recognized, but no amount of fiddling with extending or eyefinity is getting me anywhere, it seems to only allow 2 displays.

Is this a limitation of the card or am I just doing it wrong?

Waht do you mean "All three are recognized"? Do all three show up in the "Devices and Printers", and in the CCC? – techie007 Nov 1 '11 at 20:17
Can you get any combination of "2" monitors, out of the 3, or is it only 2 specific displays/ports that work? – techie007 Nov 1 '11 at 20:23
All 3 are recognized as displays in Catalyst. Yes, any combination of 2 seems to work. – Kyle Brandt Nov 1 '11 at 23:11

The problem was with "the other is using the display port via a DVI to display port adapter".

In this case, the adapter I was using was a passive adapter. When I switched to an active adapter (the adapter also goes into USB to get some power) I can now have a tri-monitor setup.
