We have Office Communicator installed here, which is an IM tool that a company can use for restricted communication within the company.

I work for a services company and am working on a partially outsourced project. The client we work for is not allowed to use anything other than Office Communicator. Is there a way to configure Office Communicator so that people on their network can IM people on our network, or restrict it to certain people?

I don't have access to the people at my company who configure Office Communicator. I therefore thought I would ask here before I raised it to my manager.
