I have a problem with my new AMD Radeon HD6990. I switched to the Radeon HD from a GTX295.

Fitting was quick, but I had to reinstall the system because my HD didn't work properly. After that, it work very well. I connect my monitor via DVI → HDMI and the TV with Mini DisplayPort → HDMI.

My problems started after the second re-installation of Windows 7 (don't ask why — long story). My Mini DisplayPorts stopped working. I use the latest drivers and I changed adapters from miniDP to HDMI.

They just stopped sending a signal. The support team form manufacture wants me to send in the item (to check) but this way I will lose my computer for weeks.

How can I solve this problem?

By way of anecdote, I've seen miniDP adapters fail not that infrequently. – Shinrai Nov 3 '11 at 19:06
