I want to know how is that kind of software called and particularly which one is the one CNN uses.

The thing they use to show the time, names of interviewees, locations, etc.

that is indeed quite useful, thank you very much. I'm interested in developing a plug-in of some sort for this kind of software but I can't seem to find what live video editing programs do TV channels use. – gruagrua Nov 6 '11 at 20:20
