I looking for a fast booting Linux live that will boot from to a 4GB USB Pen, for when I use internet cafes in SE Asia etc..

It needs the following features

  • Fast booting (< 1min - i tried a few 2 years ago, some took 5 minutes to boot, cough Ubuntu)
  • Chromium or Firefox with Flash plugin (most seem to be absent of Flash plugin)
  • A PDF Reader
  • Terminal
  • If it can load the OS/program into RAM via ramfs even better
  • Preferably one setup with decent defaults (e.g. msttf-core-fonts etc.. and an lcd profile <- is it too much to expect nowadays that most people are using LCD?)

I dont want to build my own ideally.

If you want speed, than you're probably going to want to use Chrome - Firefox is not as optimized for Linux as Chrome is. You might consider ZenCafe, although I make no guarantees. – new123456 Nov 8 '11 at 12:01
