I am upgrading a linux box from Fedora 12 to 15, and trying to preserve an install of MythTV in the process. I tried to do this with preupgrade, but for complicated reasons having to do with nvidia drivers, it wouldn't work. So I am upgrading using media.

Right now I am going from 12 to 13. My question is what to do between versions. First, the Fedora wiki recommends running package-cleanup --orphans after an upgrade. Should I do this between each upgrade or just when I get to the end?

Also, assuming nvidia works after the upgrade to 13, should I then run preupgrade to get to 15, or go to 14 first using media?

Your input appreciated.

Steve
