I used gnu plot to generate 10k images for a 3 minute animation. The file size is 20MB. Every viewer I use chokes: at best it takes the viewer forever to load.

Lossy coding (ffmpeg) isn't an option as it ends up blurring the effect I am after.

Does anybody have any ideas on how to view such a file or to reduce the size? Can I make gnuplot spit out BW images? The best option I have found is to use firefox.

I am also on a Linux system.
