I've got a "Windows XP Mode" virtual pc that points to the wrong location for the parent disk.

How you get to this position:

1: Create a new WinXP mode virtual pc.

2: It works fne

3: Reboot the dual boot PC into real XP that lives on drive D. This effectively swaps the C: and D: drives over.

4: Open the vhd in Microsoft Virtual PC 2007. It complains that the parent drive cannot be found. This is unsurprising since the D: and C: drives have swapped. But it lets you point the diff vhd at the correct parent. It all works.

5: Reboot back into Win7. C: and D: are now back where they started, but the parent link points to D: rather than C:

6: XPMode refuses to open because it can't find the parent disk. BUT unlike vpc2007 it doesn't let me specify where it should be looking.

Anybody know how to fix this?
