I have windows 7 installed on Probook 4530s. How can I configure it so that Fan remains always on running. When Fan stops the system halts and screen freezes. I have dual boot system on other OS (Unix-based) fan always on and no problem.

There will be BIOS settings for this (based on temp) or change under your Advanced (Active) Power Profile the CPU loads/use %'s to all read 100% and you should (might!) find the CPU fan doesn't then throttle/stop.

There is only one setting "Fan Always on When on Power". Shld I update bios? – coure2011 Nov 12 '11 at 6:23
What is that setting set to? Updating the BIOS is unlikely to give you additional power settings. – HaydnWVN Nov 14 '11 at 13:14
its checked i.e. true – coure2011 Nov 19 '11 at 19:41
Any other settings you can see about throttling the CPU? – HaydnWVN Nov 21 '11 at 8:19
