I have 2 HDDs, 1.5TB each, paired up and configured as RAID1. As I understand, the best practice is to periodically scrub it, so that you discover failing disks more quickly.

How often do you scrub your RAID? And more importantly, why did you pick that frequency?

A better version would be if you were scrubbing and needed help on an aspect. Polling the audience is not fit for this site – random Nov 12 '11 at 2:24
How often should you KNOW that the data is valid on your mirror? how often CAN you know that the data was valid on the ORIGINAL you then mirror, and when do you find out , when it is to late. . . askflib.com/article/maintaining-raid disks themselves are not failing as often as people are having problems with them, there is way more to the problems. – Psycogeek Nov 12 '11 at 4:46
