I'm using Windows 7 x64 and had a Virtual Box 4.1.4 installation, without hostonly adapter and had no problems to hibernate or to go to sleep mode.

Last update to VirtualBox 4.1.6 installed the host only adapter and now I fail to go to sleep mode or hibernate, when I started Virtual Box since the last reboot.

Know options:

  1. avoid sleep mode/hibernate after running Virtual Box
  2. remove the host only adapter

BTW in the past with the 4.1.4 installation, for some reason I was not able to install the host only adapter, therefore I only want to remove it at last resort, as I do not know, if I could reinstall it. I had some different Virtual Box installations in the past on this machine and always noted hostonly adapter as cause of fail to hibernate

Is there perhaps some process I could kill, before hibernating?
