How do I use dual monitors with Ubuntu 11.10 and a dock, or connected directly to a dell precision? When I connect my U2410 or 2412M and try to recognize the monitor in nvidia-settings, nothing happens and my screen hangs until the configuration is undone.
Is there anything special I need to do to get dock or monitor support working? I can't connect to either monitor even if I plug the display-port cable right into the laptop.
I had no issues with Windows 7 - everything worked out of the box.
