I have an ASUS MoBo (M4A88T-M LE) which has the core unlocker feature. When I use it, my processor, a Phenom X2 555 becomes a Phenon X4 B55. Everything seems fine except that now, everytime I boot the system up, I get a message from the board:

"This CPU is not supported by this model." And then it asks me to check the QVL for processors.

Why is this happening? Is there anyway to remove the QVL checking? My BIOS is updated to version 307, the most recently as of today.

Are you sure your CPU model/revision/stepping has a physical core to unlock? There's a reason those chips are shipped with only two active cores -- sometimes some of the cores are toast. – Billy ONeal Nov 15 '11 at 3:21
