I am looking for alternative to great Windows app AutoHotKey.

So far I've found only AutoKey which can be quite usefull, and may know more then I think, but the documentation is sparse, and it mostly looks like app for pasting text templates only.

So.. is there any alternative? Thanks!

Autohotkey was built off of AutoIt, which I use regularly. I have successfully used it for many things on a Linux system with WINE, but it obviously isn't perfect. It might help to know what sorts of things you are looking to do as there are tons of scripting languages for Linux, but all have their strengths, weaknesses and quirks, so it really is dependent on what functions you are looking for. – MaQleod Nov 15 '11 at 20:02
Mostly window manipulations, switching, cammands execution... – uther Nov 15 '11 at 20:33
Check this forum thread out - it shows how to access KDE's keybindings. However, KDE is not all that keyboard oriented, so they may not be as versatile as you need. I use e16, which has excellent keyboard support, but it may be a little foriegn (I assume you use KDE because it somewhat resembles explorer.exe?) – new123456 Nov 15 '11 at 21:30
