i'm a newbie about Sql Server Administration. I've some questions regarding it, hope you can help me:

  1. What is the LDF file ? Is it the transaction log ?
  2. How to limit the growth size of the transaction log ? At the moment, i've a database of 2-3 gbyte and a LDF file of 40 gbyte
