The default printer settings on Ubuntu 10.4 are set to use US Letter. However I need to use A4, and so I change the defaults under preferences-printing. However in any application I subsequently launch, be it OpenOffice or gedit, it shows the earlier US letter only and I have to change it each time. Why doesn't it work properly?
