It isn't the first time this happens. It usually happens after I woke the PC out of hibernate. When i then try to do anything that has to do with sound (like youtube in flash, iTunes, games, ...) it crashes. My sound card is recognized. And it is most of the time fixed with rebooting
I also just went to look if anything showed up in my logs, but I can't click on anything in my start menu. So I'll update this question soon.
EDIT: Can access my log files now. There seem to be a lot of errors generated by ShellHWDetection, MMCSS and AeLookupSvc. Also, after rebooting, the PC switched output channels (to S/PDIF), and is now on one I can't hear on my speakers. I can't change it to the regular one either.
