I have a Toshiba A305 satellite laptop. My Windows 7 got corrupt, and I'm getting boot manager errors.

My laptop DVD drive is not working, so I bought an external one. However, it's not working as a boot device. I have a InsydeH20 2.20 BIOS, and it's showing the USB drive in the boot menu, but it's still not working.

What error messages show up when you try to boot? (@slhck, sorry I got lost in the middle of the edit there, thanks for cleaning it up) – soandos Nov 27 '11 at 16:23
What CD/DVD in your external drive do you use to boot from? – Soren Nov 27 '11 at 16:54
