I have been a real ignorant about virtualization in general and nowadays I am working hard to throw this away.

I heard a lot about VHDs and it is really easy to create VHDs on Windows 7.

If we sit down and list the advantages of VHD, what would they be?

You should think about rewording this question, since there is no correct answer to this besides listing essentially facts about VHDs. There needs to be a specific need or problem for this question to be valid on this site. – surfasb Nov 29 '11 at 19:19
@surfasb This is what exactly I am looking for: "essentially facts about VHDs" – tugberk Nov 29 '11 at 19:25

Facts about vhds can be found using Google. Superuser is a question and answer site, not a discussion forum. – Mokubai Nov 29 '11 at 23:02
@Mokubai way to answer the question. – tugberk Nov 30 '11 at 9:10

As per the FAQ: 'If your motivation for asking the question is “I would like to participate in a discussion about ______”, then you should not be asking here.' Similarly we expect people to do a minimum of research before posting and, as a result, expect questions to be focused and not simply polling for features of particular file formats or programs. – Mokubai Nov 30 '11 at 12:13
