And by this I mean the mouse cursor, not the thing that goes before or after letters when editing text.

Why is this happening, and more importantly, how can I stop it?

EDIT: It only shows up when the mouse is in front of a chrome windows.

Using chrome version 17.0.942.0 dev-m

There's nothing on the Chrome forum in regards to the cursor blinking with the current Chrome developer build. However, it does seem as though there have been cursor blinking issues with Chrome in a number of previous versions. It seems one potential cause is Chrome's handling of Flash. Do you have any sites containing Flash running whilst it's blinking? – John H Dec 2 '11 at 4:11
It does not seem to matter if flash is running or not. – soandos Dec 2 '11 at 4:16

@soandos, Can you try the stable and beta versions of Google Chrome Portable? It may be a bug in the Dev version only. – iglvzx Dec 2 '11 at 4:57

@soandos Then I am afraid we can't do much. When you use pre-release software, you should be comfortable with running into bugs. I suggest reporting the bug. – iglvzx Dec 2 '11 at 5:37

You should be able to login to Google via your Google account. Else drop by chat and mention these. I'll be glad to file a bug on your behalf – Sathya Dec 2 '11 at 5:45
