Question: Does the hardware listed in red text and a gray background mean that it isn't working properly?

I'm working at my school's helpdesk and a student brought in a computer complaining that it turns off randomly. My co-workers went through all of our normal approaches, when those had been exhausted I got my turn and the first thing I did was live boot ubuntu. I used lshw to get all the hardware information and found that the ram controllers and Graphics Co-Processor were listed being red. I can't find anywhere that clearly states this. Does that mean that there is something wrong with that hardware? if not, what does the different color
