I'm converting videos from VHS to DVD using VLC 1.1.11 for Windows, but seem to be getting black borders in the result (DVD) both left and right. I'd very much like to get rid of those using any way to force them out/away.
The VHS has been recorded using a videocamera from those days back in the beginnings of -90:s and originally the Video 8 has been transfered to the VHS. No borders there. How can I be sure though to get the borders away from the DVD copies? I tried looking in the VideoLAN Wiki but I guess I'm not familiar enough with the terminology used and keeping track of differences between VLC -versions is too much.
Could this be fixed just using the options in VLC preferences without having to use the command line, or could someone tell me which lines in the vlcrc -file to fix and how?
