I have enabled C.I.A in BIOS. Should I use it to overclock my CPU (Intel Core 2 Duo E4300) or is it pointless?

While it's on and set to 'Full thrust' the CPU temperature falls down to 50C (while normally it is 60C - unbelivable), but while playing some games it sometimes lag a bit (maybe because the C.I.A. thinks that these games aren't so powerfull and underclocks the CPU). Also CPU fan drops from 1300 RPM to 1000 RPM.
