I've tried configuring IIS + WebDav to be able to open an office document and have it synced with the server version.
However a problem has arised, the first time I open a webdav located file it's Always opened as Read Only in Office.
These are the WebDav settings:
And when opening the file I am presented with this option dialog:
Now when I have it opened, it says Read Only in the top of Office, so I close the document and try open it again and to my surpise I am now presented with antoher dialog!
Now the file is Writeable on this computer, but if I go somewhere else and try it, I am back at the first step again, always read only the first time and on some computers it's always readonly, the second dialog is never presented.
This brings me to these questions:
- Can someone recommend a good step by step guide to get WebDav + IIS + Office Documents work together?
- Is the above most likely Office, Internet Explorer, IIS or WebDavs fault?
