Whenever I try to export a report, it opens up with a .csv extension rather than .xls.

It works fine on Firefox but whenever I use Internet Explorer, it does that.

We really don't know what you're talking about. Please consider that we don't sit in front of your PC and know what the real problem is. Where are you exporting a report from? How do you save it? How do you open it again? What do Firefox and Internet Explorer have to do with all of this? Can you make a screenshot, maybe? – slhck Dec 8 '11 at 11:57

Sounds like you are using google documents? If you are then instead of exporting try to save it instead, which should give you the opportunity to save as instead of choosing for you.

No I am not. it is an internal Online software which is used to create reports online but then as we want to export them to excel it doesnt seem to be working. – Annie Dec 8 '11 at 14:52
