I have the following setup: PC running Windows 7 width NVIDIA GeForce 210 and a Samsung SyncMaster B2230.. At first a had the monitor connected via VGA to VGA running 1080p.. I have since bought a 5 meter HDMI cable, but when I connect it to the PC and monitor, I have problems..

I have Windows set up so that the display gets duplicated to all monitors.. I have tried connecting the HDMI cable to the PC both using the DVI/HDMI adapter than came with the computer and directly to (what I think is) the HDMI port (but might be a Display port.).

When I have both VGA and HDMI connected, Windows detects the two "monitors" fine, but I only get picture on VGA..

Then when I reduce the resolution to 720p I get picture on both VGA and HDMI.. (but it's 720p and the picture is a bit to small on VGA and too big on HDMI and the colors are a bit off..)

Now when I remove the VGA cable, the picture disappears after a short second when Windows detects the disconnect..

Here is what I would like in prioritized order: 1. to be able to have picture when only HDMI is connected.. 2. to have 1080p on HDMI..

Any help..?
