I have an HP laser jet printer P1102. Now i want this to be available on wireless network using my router. I am thinking of buying a linksys router which has also the functionality of serving printer services on wireless network.
Is this possible? And if yes which router you recommend? I prefer Linksys as i have tested them and they are quite good.

Yes, it's possible, but we don't really do shopping recommendations. Just check the line of products and look for some reviews online. – slhck Dec 11 '11 at 10:00

Any reason why you wouldn't just "share" the printer to all on your workgroup or domain? You don't need the WAP w/Print Server unless there's an issues with the current machine the printer's connected too you haven't enlightened us about...

Perhaps he would prefer not to have to turn on a PC just to print from a different machine? Please use the comments field for comments, this does not constitute an answer as it stands, though with a bit of rephrasing it could work. – Paul Dec 11 '11 at 10:09
I simply just don't want my machine to be running all the time. Moreover, its just a useless job occupying my machine's memory (incase of bulk printing from other). I simply want my machine to be off and at the same time other could utilize the printer. – Namelus Dec 11 '11 at 10:10
@Paul With 26 reputation, you can't post comments yet. Otherwise, fair points. – slhck Dec 11 '11 at 11:21

Most routers with a USB port allow use as a network printer server nowadays. You might want to check the relevant forums to see if there are compatibility issues between your printer and your prospective router. In short:

The answer to "is this possible": Yes, it is. Just do your research.

The answer to "which router can you recommend": We do not answer that kind of question hier on SU. Try looking on forum that specializes in your printer.
