Have an ALPS touchpad on a laptop. Default install of Win7 x64 it worked fine. Installed Intellipoint for a Microsoft USB mouse and suddenly the touchpad is all skittish (only responds to certain areas on the pad, and jumps erratically even then).
This is not a hardware failure, it happened within a 10 minute period. Wiping and re-installing Windows 7 restored functionality, installing Intellipoint brought the problem back.
Right now, touchpad is entirely disabled (it's that broken). Not having proper functionality is annoying. Is there any resolvable issue I should be looking for?
