What are good PIMs out there ? Preferably ones that can syncronize with a Google's Calendar ... apart from MS Outlook ...

To put it short, I'm looking for a PIM with good Calendar which can sync with Google's.

I highly recommend Mozilla Lightning, from the same folks who brought you the tres excellent Mozilla Firefox.

Mozilla Lightning is essentially Mozilla Thunderbird (a very capable email client with address book functions), and marries it with Mozilla Sunbird (also a capable calendar app).

With Lightning, use the Provider for Google's Calendar add-on to achieve two-way sync with GCal, and you will have an ideal solution for what you desire to achieve.

P.S Provider for Google's Calendar add-on is not the only solution to sync GCal with Lightning - there are other sync solutions too. Do search for them if you are interested in finding out more.

Going now to try it, although I've had some bad experiences with Thunderbird (very unstable when handling large mail quantities). – ldigas Sep 7 '09 at 12:52
Maybe in the earlier versions, though things have been very much improved since then. Give it a shot! – caliban Sep 7 '09 at 13:25
Nope. Still unstable :( – ldigas Sep 15 '09 at 20:31
And man ... does it take a long time to start ! – ldigas Sep 15 '09 at 20:35
Maybe it's the first initial indexing? We have TBird handling some 20++GB mail IMAP accounts - no problems so far. – caliban Sep 15 '09 at 21:13
