I have a 6970 with 2 DVI, 1 HDMI and 2 MDP. I currently have 1 monitor hooked up through DVI, and a TV I use as a second monitor and for movies through HDMI. I want to set up 2 additional monitors for an Eyefinity display. I want to avoid any delay from using an active adapter for any of the 3 eyefinity screens, so I will probably set it up using the HDMI and DVI ports.
However this leaves me no HDMI port for the TV. Is an active adapter required here if it won't be part of the panoramic setup, or will a passive one work? The problem is that active adapters are 100$+. Should I just suck it up and just use a cheaper DVI converter for one of the panoramic screens?
