I found an old MP3 player which is quite a few years' old. It is a Thomson Lyra 2GB. It also has 6675 on the cover, which may be the model number, although when I plug it in to USB, Windows identifies it as an "STMP3500", and then installs drivers for "Player Recovery Device Class', which is what it is identified in Device Manager as.

The hardware ID in device manager is:

  • USB\Vid_066f&Pid_3500&Rev_0066
  • USB\Vid_066f&Pid_3500

This looks to be a generic ID applying to a class of devices, in this instance; MP3 players.

I can't find any trace of Thomson's website, and searching for drivers for Thomson STMP3500 or Thomson Lyra 6675 returns results from websites peddling advertisement-saturated link bait with nothing specifically downloadable for this device. Either that or stuff about the Golden Compass.
