I have an Inspiron 1564 notebook, sometimes (at least once a day) when I start my laptop and after Windows boots, at login screen window slows down that I can barely type my password in the password field.

After login, my screen goes black and I have to hold the power button to turn it off and start again and then it seems to work fine.

I have tried to format my drive and install Windows again and tried scanning my drives.

If you reinstalled Windows, then its not malware, so that only points to the hardware. – Ramhound Dec 20 '11 at 14:14
How can i find which hardware? – rN uǝɹɐ Dec 20 '11 at 14:28
It's a dell so start by booting into the built in dell diagnostics... I believe it's f12 at boot. Run the tests particularly memory and see if everything passes.. – Kyle Dec 20 '11 at 15:11
If F12 does not show the diags in the list, power down, hold the Fn key down while you power up. – Moab Dec 20 '11 at 15:26
