I am running Kororaa 15 with the KDE desktop. How do I fix my panel and switch desktops? I can find no information on how to put a shortcut on the favorites bar or remove one that became broken. Is there an answer out there for these? I would like the option to switch back and forth from KDE to Gnome or choose which to start when starting a new session.
The panel (on the desktop) used to keep updates, volume etc on the right side and the desktop etc on the left. Suddenly everything is on the left and using the panel properties does nothing. I can find nothing on the internet, Kororaa's site or my local system to help. I can't drag the stuff back to the right when I open panel options - only add a spacer and drag the width of the spacer to move the stuff over. -- UPDATE: after much frustration I discovered the method to create a new panel then set up the way I needed and deleted the original one. I have this part solved.--
I upgraded to Firefox 9.01, the link to 8 broke when I did, I created a link and can now start a terminal session type in firefox and start the browser (the correct 9.01) but must leave the terminal open. I go to search on the panel start button equivalent and I can type in firefox to start the program, but cannot use or delete the old shortcut or create a new one. Neither of these options is how Linux can remain useful to me.
I have searched (again locally and on the net) for switching the desktop - no there is no option on the login screen - and have been unable to find an answer.
I am just looking for a little help and I don't know the proper process/procedure for asking questions so if this is "off topic" or improper please guide me to the proper place and help me ask correctly
