I know that I can edit ~/.fluxbox/menu in order to change the root menu in Fluxbox.

I also know that there's a script called fluxbox-generate_menu (or Root -> Fluxbox menu -> Tools -> Regen Menu) that replaces the menu config file with a default config which does not list the actually installed programs but rather a random list of programs (i.e. shows "OO writer" but OpenOffice isn't installed).

I want the application menus (just like in KDE, Gnome or LXDE) within the root menu. There has to be some kind of simple line I have to add to the menu config, which dynamically includes the application menus or something...?
