As a Long time Outlook Express user, I had specific patterns that I adopted to.
A) I shut off the preview pane, so I could delete an e-mail (spam) without dowloading or observing the contents (the 10 foot pole method). If you have any tips on doing this with T-bird it would be very usefull to me, I think I have that worked out, headers only.
B) OE was configured to view all e-mail in "text only" format, while sometimes that made a mess of HTML, it was simple and still readable, even if HTML. The First HTML based e-mail I get in thunderbird, has one line of text then Nothing, I had to "View Source" to even see the html content as text.
Can a person view HTML e-mails in text only reading mode in T-bird? If I should be able to view HTML in "Text only" reading mode, do you have any tips on settings for that? If this one e-mail was a fluke, is there a quick way to view it , "view source" was not quick :-) Some way to unlock HTML temporarily, for 100% trusted sources?
C) I have a lot of e-mail accounts , without even wanting/needing them, OE handled them all. Is there an E-mail account limitation on thunderbird?
I Would install Outlook Express right back into windows 7 if I could, it never failed me. But I have not got around to hacking that into the system somehow. With Thunderbird I could avoid all that, it comes highly recommended. And it is very similar to OE, I am this > < close to adopting it.
The OS is windows 7 , Thunderbird is 9.0.1, I have it Skinned , if that makes a differance. All account settings and every setting, is being made from scratch , not imported.
Here is the critical parts of the e-mail, mabey there is a clue other than the Obvious :-) code indicating that the plain text ends here :-)
