It shows an update to 2.1.1.11124_17. The update has started and it showed it's downloading x KB of 65405 KB.

But it's been over an hour and right now, it's on 325185 KB of 65405 KB. I'm not sure if it should go like this, if I should wait or what. But when I check the size of my C: every now and then, it shows the free space decreasing. It's still downloading that SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe.cab. Also, it's showing the download is at 100%, but it's still going.

PS: Samsung has not released an exe for this update, that's why I have to do this via Kies itself. Any ideas? Thank you.

Update: 470000+ KB now, still going...

What is your question? – Daniel Beck Dec 30 '11 at 14:55
Oh, the title itself. But I already fixed it by disabling my security suite during the installation. Thanks anyway. – d4ryl3 Dec 30 '11 at 15:06
I would wait for Samsung to release an exe for the update. We have no idea what your question is and I personally don't know what *Keis is exactly – Ramhound Dec 30 '11 at 15:08
@d4ryl3 - Don't use "titles" to ask a question. – Ramhound Dec 30 '11 at 15:08

I have seen a download go ary like this, in a different program and OS, gets in some endless loop. the end results were the file was corrupt. You did the math, and I assume you know the actual file size that it should be. At the least restart the transfer, making sure your connection is good.

Making wild assumptions about what happens, the requesting program gets stuck, via connection error, or program lockup, or expected data stream. The same packet continues to be requested over and over again? I reset everything and cleared everything, then the 2nd attempt I did not use the computer/device till it finished, so I didnt "upset" things.

It could be that the method is not supported, or the program has requirements that it just isnt going to work. I do not understand the exact operations that your doing, just generally it isnt going to work like that. If i remember right my oversized file was repetitions.
