I believe my Media Center master program picked up an infected .jpg when updating TV & movie artwork. Windows patching and AV were up to date before infection.

The virus was Windows 7 antispyware 2012. I cleaned it with an AV boot disk and had to fix the registry entries it does to .exe files. I have run a couple AV test since and everything is clean.

However, Windows Firewall is damaged and the machine can no longer connect to Windows HomeGroup. The Xbox also can no longer connect to this Media Center. All other networking appears fine, I can connect from other machines on the network.

Any ideas if this can be fixed? Windows troubleshooting of firewall and HomeGroup runs for long periods of time with no suggestions for correction.
