I have a three-monitor setup. Every time my computer shuts off the screens due to inactivity, one of the screens doesn't come back. I can get it back by going to Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display\Screen Resolution and clicking the Detect button twice. Any ideas for how to get it to come back from sleep like it should?

My guess is that it's a video card issue, not a monitor issue. I have a Radeon HD6870 that is running all three monitors. This did not start happening until a few days ago, and I've been running this setup for a while.

Usually, only monitors which aren't Plug and Play won't automatically turn back on, such as TV screens or analogue outputs. I wouldn't, in general, think that was down to the graphics card, but it's possible. You could try testing with another GFX card if you have one?

Also, have you tried swapping which monitors are plugged into which port? That should help you pin down precisely what the problem is.
