My Terminal cursor was working just fine a couple of hours ago. Then I was playing around with the Terminal preferences, ~/.profile and /private/etc/bashrc and now the cursor won't blink (see note 1), even though the "Blink cursor" option in Terminal > Preferences is checked.

I don't have the original files to revert my changes (yes, I've learned my lesson :)), and I have no idea what I did to mess it up. How can I configure it back?

[1] Actually, it's a little more weird than that. When a Terminal window comes into focus, it blinks once, and then never again.

I'm using Mac OS X Lion, by the way.

EDIT: I restarted Terminal (so far I had just been creating new windows to try out the modifications) and it started to blink again. Apparently the problem happens when I change the cursor type (for example, from 'Block' to 'Underline'), but I still don't know what could be causing this, since this is not normal behavior.
