I've read about Microsoft Virtual WiFi, and how it virtualizes the Wireless adapter to have more than one connection. Currently, in my Network Connections, I have my wireless adapter, and TWO "Microsoft Virtual WiFi" connections; I just can't find out how to make use of them.

I wish to connect to one Wi-Fi network for internet access, and then to a router to access other computers on my LAN. Is this possible to accomplish using the virtual WiFi?

I can't figure out how to tell the other virtual adapter to connect to an access point.

Edit: Just to be clear, I want to use a virtual wifi adapter to connect to a separate router/access point than the one I'm connected to with my main adapter.

Karan: please expand your answer to include a link to Connectify, as well as why you think Connectify would work for the OP. Otherwise, this may get deleted or converted to a comment, as it is of no substantial value. – studiohack Jan 5 at 19:37
Yes, it appears that Connectify only allows me to create an access point using a different virtual adapter. This is not what I want to do. I would like to use a different virtual adapter to connect to an access point. – user74757 Jan 5 at 21:24
