I'm looking for a 2 way IP driven Video Conferencing Application which gives me the power to rename the Application, and block users from entering other personal info or at least remove them so the users can see them, even if i need to compile it from source.

Here are two options - they are more or less opposites:

  • Ekiga is fairly narrow - mostly, it does video calling and text chatting. (It requires no server, either)

  • openmeetings is has a lot of features. It is probably going to be more intensive to setup, but you get a lot for doing that, and it is all self-contained.

you don't need a dedicated server for ekiga. You can do peer-to-peer calls just fine. –  TheCompWiz Jan 5 '12 at 21:30

Here's the best way to find what you're looking for:

ekiga is a client as well as a server. You can do point-to-point connections with it just the same... without a dedicated server. You just need to make sure the proper ports are open. –  TheCompWiz Jan 5 '12 at 21:27

that is the current one i have, and am using, but i want to remove the extra things i don't need, and specially the add account feature –  LowvaPrg Jan 5 '12 at 21:33

I guess that goes back to what you said about "even if i need to compile it from source." You're either going to need to fork your own development & add your own custom bits... or pay for a package that allows you to re-sell someone's product with your branding. (like Zopier and many others. –  TheCompWiz Jan 5 '12 at 21:37
