I'd like to know if there is any way to edit text in Vimperator (for example input boxes or Gmails web interface)? The way one edits text in Vim and can navigate e.g. the use of "p", "yy" and "dd" etc.

If there is any way how to do this in Firefox, please share it.

Yes. Simply navigate to an input field or box by clicking on it or tabbing to it. This will automatically put Vimperator into INSERT mode and you are free to type.

Yes, this is natural, but I wanted something more like 'visual mode' to be able to do dd, dw, d3w and such. I started using pentadactyl since, this is possible by C-t from within insert mode. –  AoeAoe Mar 4 '12 at 11:10

@AoeAoe Nice trick, this also works with Vimperator. –  Herman Torjussen Mar 4 '12 at 12:41
