the question says it all.. what are the best available free(more priority) or paid softwares which are best at getting deleted photos back from a phone internal memory (samsung galaxy s2) or sd card... ?

update: OS: Windows 7 (64 bit) or Windows XP

Before you do any forensic work, slide the read only "lock" so you don't accidentally overwrite any data with the various tools you're about to try. – skub Jan 9 at 5:05

I would try SD Card Recovery , seem to have a pretty good track record.

I would recommend Testdisk and PhotoRec http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TestDisk. It's free and I got very good results with Testdisk and bad hard disks. In fact it save me to buy a replacement disk.

PhotoRec is pretty good, but it does not retain filenames which may or may not be a huge issue. – Synetech Jan 9 at 3:51
