IS there software that can take existing photos or filmclips and produce something that looks like from a scanner?

My consern is that photos have different geometry from scanned images, and also a scanner has an even light source.

Also in theory quality could be better with photos if you integrate several or use a movie-clips instead of photos.

Any smart-phones that has support for this?

The reason a "scanned film photo" looks totally different than a "digital" photo has to do more with the total contrast ratio that film itself was capable of , vrses the range that a digital chip allows. The reason a Scanner looks better than a camera, is a combination, even lighting, a different light collection sencor gathering information, slow but massive resolution capability, error correction and software alogrythms. Just like the image from a cameras sencor, the raw images unprocessed probably look terrible. Using more than one frame for "high" processing just provides "more data". – Psycogeek Jan 10 at 6:19
