When using VLC or Windows Media Player on my NEC projector, I get sound, but no picture. My computer is a Compaq Presario 2800.

A VLC window appears on the wall, but there are no images.

Are you using HDMI to connect to the projector? Where are the speakers hooked up? – Amadeu Feb 3 at 12:07
