I have installed Linux Mint 12 on my laptop. Much of the time the laptop is connected to a 21 in. monitor which becomes the primary screen. Other times, I'm on the road with just the LCD, and yet other times I have a projector attached.

I would like to describe factors like screen resolution, relative position, mirrored/not mirrored, primary/secondary, etc. for each of these situations and have the system "do the right thing" depending on what it is connected to. In Ubuntu 10.04 there was a dot file for just this purpose, but it does not seem to be in the same place in Mint 12.

Where can I find this configuation a file?
