I am considering Knoppix for my netbook (Acer Aspire One 522). Does it work well in a netbook? First i want to try it in live mode and later install the same.

I believe it will have all the drivers needed for my netbook and works outof the box.

" First i want to try it in live mode" sounds like you already have a good plan to answer this question for yourself. – EBGreen Jan 13 at 15:31
True, but if someone has an (bad) experience of using it in netbook it will be good. – devsundar Jan 13 at 15:40
I would also chime in suggesting Peppermint Two and Linux Mint. Both will work well on a netbook. Knoppix should also not be a problem. – Paperlantern Jan 13 at 15:48

If a minimalist type set up is what you're after, have you considered or tried out the openbox based Crunchbang? http://crunchbang.org/download/
