I have tried to write the same files to Blu-ray BD25 to no avail. Nero 10 gets to 32% then the drive stops flashing, the used read buffer above the completion bar just goes up and down and every now and then it writes a bit more data. this takes ages and I normally give up after 30 minutes as it reaches 36%.

The files are just film rips I have done from my Blu-ray collection. Files range from 400MB to 1.2GB and the disc is totally full.

System specs:

  • Core i7 860
  • 12GB DDR3
  • 3 x hard drives.
  • Pioneer BDR-206

I have moved the writer to a SATA card after the first one failed, thinking it had something to do with it, but it's doing the exact same thing.

The only software that will write blu-ray on my machine is imgburn. I can burn DVD's, cd, etc. with nero, etc. But only imgburn will burn blu-ray for me. Give it a try. – opsin Jan 15 at 21:43
