I'm trying to determine, why my notebook running Windows 7 Prof x64 hangs for about 30 seconds on the welcome screen with no CPU or HDD usage (it's a member of a Windows domain). I analyzed the boot process with the Windows Performance Toolkit and found, that the task "Profiles" in "Winlogon" is active for about that time, together with "Logon Notification, Session 1". Is there a way to investigate that issue any further, and what could delay the process of fetching/loading the profile?

I assigned a static IP to the computer, but it didn't help.

Thanks in advance.

I was going to suggest Soluto (soluto.com) but it looks like they've changed their service somewhat :( – Shevek Jan 18 at 10:40
